Raymond Lavorn Armstrong was born in Conway, Arkansas to the late Clifton Robert and Florence Louise Armstrong on August 8, 1956. Raymond departed this life Friday, March 22, 2024.

Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, and four siblings, Cleo, Jerry, Milton, and Clifton, Jr.

He received his education in the Conway Public Schools, and graduated from Conway High School. He was a very smart student in math. He loved dealing with numbers and loved to do drafting also. He was offered a scholarship in Architecture at Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas. However, he wasn't able to attend. He started working with Wilson Roofing Company a while before they closed down and then he started to work at Covington Roofing Company for quite a period until he had to stop because of an injury to his leg and also a burn incident from work. He loved that job, because it was a job his dad had did for many years and was very good at his work until he could not do it anymore.

Raymond enjoyed music, western movies, playing dominoes, and being around family and friends. He especially loved when his daughters and grandchildren would come to visit. He was married once in his lifetime, to the former Kathy Macon.

Those left to cherish his precious memories are two daughters, Chiquita (Kevin) Armstrong Ross; grandchildren, Asia and Madison Ross all of Arlington, Texas; Ashley Armstrong Duhart; grandchildren, Jada, John, Jr., Isabella, all of Largo, Florida; six siblings, Joe Armstrong, David (Betty) Armstrong, Barbara (William) Thomas, Danetta Armstrong Beatty, Loretta Armstrong all of Conway, Arkansas, Brenda (Roy) Armstrong Easter of Fresno, California, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Walk through visitation will be held Friday, March 29, 2024 from 12:00pm to 4:30pm at Veasley Funeral Home.

Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, March 30, 2024, 11:00am at Anointed and Appointed Disciples Church, 350 Salem Rd., Conway, Arkansas.

Committal service and final resting place will be held at Robinson Cemetery, Conway, Arkansas.
