Willie accepted Christ at an early age and united with the Beebe Chapel CME church in Wrightsville, Arkansas where he served as a Trustee for several years. He worked with other members of Beebe Chapel to build a new addition to their church.  On December 13, 1998, he united with the St. John Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. On September 24, 1977, Willie married the love of his life, Arvene Giles, and to this union two children were born. Willie was a great cook and enjoyed cooking for all family gatherings.  Cooking Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners were two of his favorite meals to prepare.  He established and served as Chief of the Quail Creek Volunteer Fire Department which provided safety to homes in an area south of Little Rock.

He leaves to celebrate and honor his life’s journey: his loving wife of 48 years, Arvene Lorings, three children, Tarsh E. Williams of Dallas, TX; Antionette L. Atkins of Bryant, AR; and Jonathan T.
