Bertha Mae Clardy


Bertha Mae Clardy was born June 4, 1939 in Rosebud, Texas to the late Seattle and Helen Ross. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Wesley Clardy, Sr. and was a devoted homemaker for 57 years. She united with Henderson Temple COGIC. For 14 years, she was the First Lady of Fort Coffee COGIC where her husband was pastor. In 1996, she united with New Life COGIC and was a faithful member until her passing.

On February 27th, at the age of 76, God called her to eternal rest leavingher husband; four daughters:

Priscilla Williams (Dwight) of Roland, OK, Donna Taylor (L.G.), Beverly Clardy and Delisha Clardy all of Fort Smith; six sons: Bobby Clardy, David Clardy, Jerry Clardy (SheVonda), Andrew Clardy (Alisha), Tyrone Clardy all of Fort Smith, and Wesley Clardy Jr. (Gail) of Van Buren; 28 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.

Funeral will be Saturday, March 5th, 11:00 a.m. at New Covenant International Christian Church with burial at Washington Cemetery. Viewing will be Friday, March 4th, 11:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at the funeral home and 5:00-7:00 p.m. at New Life COGIC where family will receive visitors and friends.

Pallbearers will be Reginald Patterson, Jerrel and Galen Taylor, Kim Simpson, Dwight Williams, Jr., Jarvis Clardy and Clinton Walker, Jr.
