Rahman A. Shahid, 75, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on February 1, 2018 at Sparks Medical Center. He was born August 25, 1942 in Fort Coffee, Oklahoma to the late Jerline Frazier and Frela Sweetie Chatman. He was a great son, brother, friend and athlete. He played basketball, football and ran track in high school. He graduated high school and joined the military for six months. He later joined the religion on Islam, and traveled with other members to enhance his beliefs. He leaves to cherish his loving memory, two brothers, Kirk Phillips of Sherman, TX, Ronnie McVey of Tulsa, OK; three sisters, Bobbie Jo (Charles) Johnson of Vickerville, CA, Lois (Alvin) Woods of Kansas City, KS, Vanessa (Philbrick) Caldwell of Fort Smith, AR; one uncle, Douglas (Hazel) Frazier of Fort Smith, AR; one aunt, Joella Frazier of Oklahoma City, OK; cousin, who was like a brother, Melvin Delt and a host of other uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Janazah Prayer will be held Saturday, February 10, 2018, 11:00 AM at Rowell-Parish Mortuary Memorial Chapel, 611 N. 9th St., Fort Smith, AR. Committal service and final resting place will be held at Mount Triumph Cemetery, Fort Coffee, OK.
