Lori Suzanne Taylor was born on September 19, 1962, in Missouri. She was taken from her birth family at the age of five and placed in foster care.  Soon after; she was adopted by the Abbney Family. During her stay with the Abbneys’ Lori became big sister to two little girls, whom she adored.  At the age of 12 she was returned to the foster care system.

Lori was in several other foster homes, until she met the Esserman Family from Dover. She acquired two (2) sisters and two (2) brothers: Dean, Cindy, Royce and Cherell.  Lori was married at an early age and had four (4) children. Being unable to care for them, they were adopted into separate families, and this was Lori’s greatest grief; one that she never recovered from. However, she was able to stay in touch with one of her daughters, Charity Denai, which was a great joy to her.

Lori adopted many families as she passed through life. In 2003 she adopted the Gary George Family in Ozark. Betty George became a surrogate mother to her and Lori gained two (2) sisters and one (1) brother:   Debbie, Diane and Richard.

In 2010 she adopted the Bushdiecker family: Tom, Martha, Anna and Philip. Martha was like an aunt to her. When she moved to Alma, Pastor Perry and his Congregation were very important to her. She loved playing the tambourine and had many good friends at the Alma Housing Authorities and the Northwest Arkansas Guidance Center.  Lori loved people and made friends easily.

The most important part of Lori’s family was her little dogs, Dakota and Little Bit. She would do anything for her doggies and thought of them as her children.

She was preceded in death by her two (2) adopted sisters, Mrs. Esserman, Dean Esserman, Betty and Gary George, Jessie Payne and several other friends.

Graveside service and burial will be Monday June 23, 2025, 12 noon: Lewis Cemetery 1325 Hamer Road Alma, Arkansas 72921.

Lori made friends easily. She had a warm forgiving heart. Though she suffered many hardships in her life, she overcame them with the help of her Lord. Lori taught me how to forgive. I am so thankful that she is in the arms of her Abba Father and no longer suffers from the pain of this world. Love you Lori

From a scary cat of computers, she learned to type with Mavis Beacon. Also not being able to stay overnight anywhere, when I needed her for a surgery, she was there for me. You were loved when you were here, now you have a host of friends who will love you also. You will be missed by my sister and many others, including me. Love you.
