If you ever met Tee, you probably heard him before you saw him.
His laugh was legendary. It was loud, genuine, contagious, and impossible to ignore. It could fill a room, brighten someone’s day, and leave everyone around him laughing right along with him. It’s no surprise that his band family honored him with the "Loudest Laugh Award." That laugh, along with his unforgettable smile, became part of who Tee was, a young man who brought joy wherever he went.
On July 14, 2026, surrounded by the love of family and held in the arms of the God he faithfully served, Terrence Edward Blake, II, lovingly known as "Tee," completed his earthly race and entered into the presence of his Savior. Though our hearts are broken, we celebrate a life that was full of faith, laughter, music, friendship, and unconditional love.
Tee was born on June 18, 2008, to Terrence Blake, Sr. and Cameria Blake in Conway, Arkansas. From the very beginning, he had a personality that couldn’t be contained. Whether he was making jokes, laughing until everyone else laughed, or simply being his authentic self, Tee had a way of making people feel at home.
At the age of eight, Tee made the most important decision of his life when he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at Salem Missionary Baptist Church of Conway, Arkansas, Inc., under the leadership of Pastor Bennie L. Jackson, Jr. His faith wasn’t something he only talked about on Sundays, it was part of who he was every day. He proudly wore sweaters that declared his love for Jesus and wasn’t afraid for anyone to know where his hope came from.
Even during his illness, Tee’s faith never wavered. In fact, he shared something remarkable with those closest to him. He said the Lord had told him that people would come to Christ through his illness. That’s who Tee was. Even while facing one of life’s greatest battles, he was thinking about God’s purpose and the lives that could be changed because of his testimony.
Tee was a proud member of the Conway High School Class of 2026. During middle school at Bob Courtway, he discovered a love for playing the drums that followed him into high school, where he became part of the Conway High School Wampus Cat Band drumline, proudly holding down the fourth bass drum. Music wasn’t just something Tee played, it was something he lived.
His musical journey actually began at seven years old when the late Mother Barbara Jackson introduced him to the piano. His love for music continued through the Conway Institute of Music under the direction of Blake Wickless and Israel Carlisle. Whether he was performing at recitals or playing the drums at church, Tee loved using the gifts God had given him.
Another one of Tee’s greatest loves was soccer. He started playing at the age of seven and immediately fell in love with the game, from practice to games, teammates, and the wins. He especially enjoyed fighting over the cheesecake with his friend Jayden that Mrs. Maria would buy after winning a game. To Tee, those moments were just as special as the games themselves.
Speaking of food, everyone knew Tee was probably the pickiest eater in the room. But if there was chicken with Rotel cheese dip, Thanksgiving ham (especially if he could sneak a few extra pieces throughout the night), sweet potato casserole, or cheesecake, he was all in. His family will forever smile thinking about him quietly making trips back to the kitchen for "just one more piece" of ham.
When Tee wasn’t making music or playing soccer, he was doing what he loved most, being with the people he loved. He could spend hours playing Roblox late into the night with his friends Alyson and Kayden, laughing loud and carrying on. He loved hanging out with his friends, making everyone laugh, and creating memories that will be told for years to come.
But perhaps Tee’s favorite role was simply being "Big Brother."
His sisters, Terryn and Torryn, were two of the greatest joys of his life. He loved playing with them, protecting them, and making them laugh. Torryn especially loved riding around on Tee’s shoulders. He enjoyed squeezing and hugging Terryn until she couldn’t move. Even during his illness, Tee’s protective heart never changed. He continued looking out for his sisters, loving them with every ounce of strength he had.
During his hospital stay, God surrounded Tee with people who reminded him how deeply he was loved. One of those special people was Autumn Flenory of Hope, Arkansas, whose friendship and encouragement lifted his spirits during some of his hardest days. He also shared a special connection with Ms. Annie Mae Oates, his birthday buddy.
Tee leaves behind a family who adored him beyond words: his parents, Terrence Blake, Sr. and Cameria Blake; his sisters, Terryn Blake and Torryn Blake, all of Conway, Arkansas; his grandparents, Derick Beasley, Sr., Janet Cornelius and Jenifer Beasley of Little Rock, Arkansas; Bobbie Mitchell Blake of Little Rock, Arkansas; James Blake (Lydia) of Scottsdale, Arizona.
He also leaves his godbrothers, Corban and Clayton Gilmore of Conway, Arkansas; his aunts, India Blake of Lewisville, Texas, Tiah Beasley and Deirdra Beasley of Camden, Arkansas, and Destiny Beasley of Little Rock, Arkansas; his uncles, Derick Beasley II, Keith Beasley, Denzel Beasley, and Derick Beasley of Little Rock, Arkansas; Matthew Blake (Brittney) of Nashville, Tennessee; Cody Blake of Scottsdale, Arizona; along with countless cousins, teammates, classmates, church family, neighbors, and friends who each carry a piece of Tee’s story in their hearts.
He was welcomed into Heaven by his great-grandparents Solomon and Norma Beasley; D.L. and Shirley Blake; Leeartis and Earlene Stevens; Charles and Gertie Mitchell; and Margie Stevens and Charles Ray Gipson, and uncle Chuck Mitchell.
Although we wish we had many more years with Tee, we are incredibly grateful for the 18 amazing years God gave us. He taught us to laugh louder, love harder, worship boldly, and trust God even when life doesn’t make sense.
The sound of his drums may have grown quiet, but Heaven has gained another worshipper.
His soccer cleats have been set aside, but he has finished his race.
His piano rests here, but his song continues.
And somewhere beyond what we can see, we imagine Tee laughing, that unmistakable laugh, while hearing the words every believer longs to hear: "Well done, good and faithful servant."
Tee’s story doesn’t end here. His faith, his laughter, his music, and the lives he touched will continue to live on in our hearts. His testimony has already begun bringing people closer to Christ, just as he believed it would.
Until we meet again, keep laughing loud, Tee. We’ll never stop hearing it.
