Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall their be anymore pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mr. Frederick Clemons.

A beautiful life ended on August 2, 2017 with the passing of Freddie Clemons, 61, of Morrilton, Arkansas. He departed his earthly life surrounded by family in Russellville, Arkansas. Freddie was born Friday, November 11, 1955. He was the youngest child of the late Lonnie, Sr. and Edith Huggins-Clemons. He was preceded in glory by his parents, Lonnie, Sr. and Edith Clemons; siblings, Lonnie Clemons, Jr., L. D. Clemons, Franklin Clemons, Dorothy Trezvant, Jewel Taylor and Ruby Robinson.

He accepted Christ at an early age and became active with the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. After relocating back to Morrilton, he worshiped at various community churches in the area.

Freddie was a 1974 graduate of Morrilton High School. Immediately after graduating, he attended Beebe College in Searcy, Arkansas on a basketball scholarship. While in Morrilton he was employed by Arkansas Kraft Company. After relocating to Denver, Colorado, most of his career was with the Caterpillar Manufacturing Company where he served as a supervisor. He retired from the company in 2008.

Freddie was married to the late Diane Cooper and to this union two children were born, Freddy and DeJuan. In 1982, he united in marriage to Ramona Mills and unto this union, three children were born, Omar, Reggie and Pierre.

Freddie was a fun loving guy and a master cook, especially on the grill. Freddie enjoyed grilling and entertaining family and friends. He was a lover of all sports and coached all of his sons in baseball. He later played in a softball league in Denver. Freddie discovered a love of golf in his later years and played until he was too physically limited. Through out his illness he complained little or none. Always stating that "pain, in his condition, was to be expected and that God leaves his foot prints in every stage of his pain". Until the end, his voice was strong and re-assuring to all who sought to comfort him.

Freddie leaves to cherish his loving memory, his sons, Freddie Clemons of Tampa, FL, DeJuan (Kellie) Clemons of Morrilton, AR, Omar (Terri) Clemons of Russellville, AR, Reginald (Chelsie) Clemons of Cabot, AR, Pierre Clemons of Morrilton, AR; nephew/brother, John (Deborah) Wrather of Omaha, NE; sisters, Ruth (Will) Fleming of New Albany, OH, Doris (Mel) Smith of Crossett, AR; nieces/sisters, Shirley Ponds and Joceslyn (Norman) Jones both of Denver, CO; a long time friend and confidante, Theresa Quick and her children, whom he raised as his own, Angela, Therrol and Chris all of Denver, CO; a special son Kelvin (Tamita) Robinson of Ft. Worth, TX; seventeen grandchildren; one great grandchild and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, August 12, 2017, 11:00 AM at St. Matthews #2 Missionary Baptist Church, 2 Matthews Dr., Morrilton, Arkansas, 72110. Visitation will be held Friday, August 11, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at New Generation Church, 1000-1098 Holiday Dr., Conway, Arkansas 72034. Committal service and final resting place will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Morrilton, Arkansas.
